Carbon Compounds Carbon Compounds: Compounds that have carbon as an essential compound. Carbon Chemistry: The branch of Chemistry that deals with Carbon Compounds. Hydrocarbons: Compounds which are made of Hydrogen and Carbon are known as Hydrocarbons. They can be classified by the following categories: 1. Saturated Hydrocarbons 2. Unsaturated Hydrocarbons Saturated Hydrocarbons: Saturated Hydrocarbons are Hydrocarbons with many atoms that more atoms cannot be added to the Hydrocarbon without replacing any of the preexisting atoms are called Saturated Hydrocarbons. Example of Saturated Hydrocarbon: Alkane Saturated Hydrocarbons are also formed with the formation of single bonds.
